1999 SecureMac launches, providing much needed security focused news for Apple's Operating Systems.
2006 After years of long nights, MacScan 1.0 is released to the public.
2007 MacScan introduces its Tracking Cookies Blocklist feature, removing malicious tracking cookies without deleting other history items.
2008 DNSChanger trojan horse discovered. SecureMac releases free removal tool to the public.
2009 SecureMac releases free removal tool for the iWorkServices trojan horse. New variants of DNSChanger trojan horse discovered and detected, while apple finally acknowledges that spyware and viruses are a threat for Macs.
2010 SecureMac researchers discover the Boonana trojan horse and release free removal tool.
2011 BlackHole RAT trojan horse discovered and analyzed. SecureMac researchers identify a new variant of MAC Defender malware, release security bulletin and removal guide.
2012 SecureMac releases PrivacyScan for the Mac App Store to address macOS privacy issues. PrivacyScan awarded Best of Show for Macworld | iWorld by Macworld UK
2013 SecureMac discovers an adware installer bundled with popular apps on CNET's Download.com. PrivacyScan shortlisted for Best Consumer Software in Macworld UK's 2013 Awards.
2014 SecureMac researchers discover OSX/CoinThief.A, a Bitcoin-stealing trojan horse, hidden in popular file downloads.
2016 SecureMac announces release of MacScan 3, the most advanced version of its security software yet.
2017 SecureMac celebrates one year of The Checklist Podcast. Each week, Nicholas Raba, Ken Ray, and guests cover security topics affecting Mac and iOS users.
2023 SecureMac and ThreatHunter.ai announce cross advisory board appointments in a significant strategic partnership for both companies.
2025 SecureMac launches MetaWipe, an app to help Mac users remove sensitive metadata from files before sharing.
